Terms of Use — JoinMyJam

Last updated: August 18, 2026

1. Introduction and Acceptance

JoinMyJam (joinmyjam.com) is a platform for learning, practicing, and playing music together. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, the application, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

By accessing, using, registering for, or making a paid support payment to the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to any of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

The Service is intended for personal and private use only and not for commercial use, unless otherwise stated or expressly authorized in writing.

Some services (for example, paid services, participation in promotions, or receiving benefits) may be subject to additional terms presented alongside those services. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and the additional terms, the additional terms shall prevail with respect to that service.

We may update these Terms from time to time at our discretion. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, and the responsibility to stay informed of the current Terms rests with you.

These Terms are drafted in the masculine form for convenience only and apply to all genders; section headings are for convenience only.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

The Service is not intended for minors under the age of 13 (or the age of consent applicable in your country of residence). Use by a minor is conditional upon the consent of a parent or guardian, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

To access certain features you must create an account. You undertake to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date. You may also sign in via third-party identity providers (Google / Facebook), subject to their terms.

One account is permitted per person. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, and you must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of it.

3. User Content and License Grant

The Service allows you to create, upload, and publish content — including songs, transcriptions, chords, loops, play-along sessions, jam rooms, comments, posts, media, and messages ("User Content"). Ownership of your User Content remains yours.

By uploading User Content, you grant JoinMyJam a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, and sublicensable license to store, copy, display, reproduce, adapt, translate, distribute, and play the content, all for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service, in any media. The license lasts as long as the content exists on the Service.

You represent and warrant that you own all rights to the content you upload, or that you have the required permissions, and that the use of the content does not violate these Terms or the rights of any third party.

4. Copyright and Licensing

JoinMyJam respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. The Service's catalog combines content prepared by our team and content created and contributed by users, and it is intended for purposes of learning, practice, and personal use.

To display protected musical works, we operate within licensing and rights-holder compensation arrangements — including a license from ACUM (the Israeli society of authors, composers, and publishers) for Israeli works, and engagements with publishers and performing rights organizations (PROs) in Israel and worldwide. Under these arrangements we report usage data and pass on a fair share of royalties to rights holders and creators.

With respect to content uploaded by users, the responsibility for obtaining the required permissions and for not infringing third-party rights rests solely with the user who uploaded the content. You may not copy text, interactive media, or content directly from official printed sheet music or song sheets.

5. Notice and Takedown (DMCA)

If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act on behalf of one) and believe that content on the Service infringes your rights, you may send us a takedown notice at legal@joinmyjam.com. We will handle the matter promptly and remove or disable access to the infringing content as required.

The notice must include: (1) a physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner; (2) identification of the protected work claimed to have been infringed; (3) precise identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service (a direct link/URL is the best way to locate it quickly); (4) your full contact details (name, address, telephone, and email); (5) a statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law; (6) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights owner.

Counter-notice: If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was done in error or that you have the required permissions, you may send a counter-notice to legal@joinmyjam.com that includes your signature, identification of the removed material and its previous location, a good-faith statement that the removal resulted from a mistake or misidentification, and your contact details.

Repeat infringers: We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to suspend or terminate the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers.

6. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

You undertake not to engage, yourself or through another, in any of the following:

All content, trademarks, interface designs, and unique tools in the Service are protected. Their use is permitted for personal and private purposes only; copying, distributing, or any commercial use of them or of the database is prohibited without prior written authorization from JoinMyJam.

7. Community Guidelines and Conduct

JoinMyJam is a global community of musicians of all levels. To maintain a respectful, encouraging, and safe environment, all users must treat one another with mutual respect; toxic behavior, elitism, and hostility run counter to our core values and will not be tolerated. The following rules apply to jam rooms, chat, comments, posts, and private messages:

8. Prohibited Content

It is absolutely prohibited to publish pornographic content, content constituting defamation, invasion of privacy, threatening, intimidating, or racist content, as well as any content of a harassing, offensive, or hostile nature and malicious software components (viruses and the like). Such content will be removed from the Service immediately upon discovery, without prejudice to any other remedy available to us.

9. Enforcement, Suspension, and Blocking

JoinMyJam may, at its discretion and according to the severity and frequency of the violation, take enforcement measures — including issuing a warning, removing content, temporarily suspending or permanently terminating an account, and blocking a user — whether with or without prior notice. The Service also includes reporting and blocking tools that allow users to report offensive content and block other users.

If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal through the support channel (support@joinmyjam.com). Do not open public threads or post retaliatory comments regarding enforcement decisions.

10. Support, Billing, and Cancellation

10.1 What the service is and what you are paying for

JoinMyJam is an online (SaaS) service for playing, practicing, and learning music. Every feature of the service is available to all users free of charge. The only payment on the service is voluntary support of its operation, which grants supporters two perks: an ad-free experience and exclusive profile borders — not a physical product, and not lessons or personal coaching. No tangible goods are shipped to you.

Support options:

OptionPriceWhat you get
Monthly support — "Buy us a coffee"₪15/month (or $5)Ad-free + all profile borders, for as long as the support is active
Monthly support — "Keep the amps on"₪30/month (or $10)Exactly the same perks — the difference is only the level of support
One-time donationAny amountEvery ₪15 (or $5) grants one month of the perks; a remainder below that does not accrue toward additional perks

Prices include VAT as required by law. Full, up-to-date details are shown on the support page.

10.2 How billing works

Monthly support is a recurring monthly charge (a continuing transaction): it is billed in advance at the start of each period and renews automatically, unless canceled before the renewal date. A one-time donation is a single charge — it does not renew and creates no ongoing commitment.

Payments are processed by a licensed payment processor. We do not store and never see your credit card details — they are provided directly to the processor over a secure, encrypted connection (SSL/TLS, PCI-DSS compliant).

Supporter perks are attached to the user account that made the payment and are available on any device signed in to that account.

10.3 Cancellation policy (under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981)

a. Cancellation within 14 days of the transaction

You may cancel the transaction within 14 days of the date the transaction was made or the date you received the transaction details document — whichever is later. This right applies whether or not the service has already begun, and even if the subscription is for a fixed term. In that case you will be refunded the amount paid, less the proportional consideration for the period during which you used the service, and less a cancellation fee of up to 5% of the transaction price or ILS 100 — whichever is lower, as provided by law.

No cancellation fee will be charged at all if the cancellation results from a defect in the service, a discrepancy between the service and the details provided to you, failure to supply the service on time, or any other breach by us of the terms of the transaction.

b. Extended cancellation period for eligible groups

If you are a person with a disability, a senior citizen (65 or older), or a new immigrant, you may cancel the transaction within 4 months of the date it was made, provided the engagement included a conversation between the parties (including an online conversation). We may request documentation evidencing your eligibility.

c. Canceling monthly support at any time (continuing transaction)

Because this is a continuing transaction, you may cancel your monthly support at any time, including after the 14-day period, with no cancellation fee. In that case:

d. How to submit a cancellation notice

Because the transaction can be made through the website, it can also be canceled through the website. You may cancel through any of the following channels, and you are not required to give a reason:

Please include your full name, the email address you registered with, and your ID number or the last four digits of the payment method.

e. Refunds

Any refund you are entitled to will be issued using the same method as the original payment: if paid by credit card, we will reverse the charge and the card issuer will credit your card. The refund will be made at the time of cancellation or as close to it as practicable, and no later than 7 business days from our receipt of the cancellation notice, and in any event within 14 days. We will send written confirmation of the cancellation to the email address on your account.

f. Reservation

We will not cancel a transaction or discontinue service for non-payment without first giving you advance notice and a reasonable opportunity to settle the balance. Nothing in this section derogates from your rights under any law; in the event of a conflict between this section and the Consumer Protection Law, the Law prevails.

11. Communications and Marketing

Operational messages related to your account and the Service (such as email verification, password reset, and system notifications) are an integral part of the Service. In addition, with your consent and in accordance with the law, we may send you updates, recommendations, reminders, and promotional material. You may withdraw your consent to receive promotional mailings at any time — through your account settings (the mailing toggle) or via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every message.

12. Third-Party Services and Embedded Media

The Service uses third-party interfaces and services — including embedded videos and media (YouTube, Spotify) and login providers (Google, Facebook). Use of these components is subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

We may send push notifications to your device. This mechanism is a built-in feature of the device/browser, and you can disable it at any time through your device settings or the Service settings.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Service and all content in it are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be continuously available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, JoinMyJam, its affiliates, and its licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to the use of the Service. We are not liable for damages arising from events beyond the reasonable measures we have taken, including actions of third parties or content uploaded by users.

14. Inquiries, Complaints, and Contact

If you believe that content on the Service harms you, breaches these rules, or infringes your rights, you may contact us: for copyright matters and infringements — legal@joinmyjam.com; for any other inquiry or complaint — support@joinmyjam.com. In your inquiry, detail the nature of the harm or claim, the relevant content and its location, and your contact details. You must declare that your inquiry is made in good faith and out of a belief that you have a right to act. We will endeavor to handle your inquiry promptly.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and your use of the Service shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel. Exclusive jurisdiction over any matter relating to these Terms or the Service shall lie with the competent courts of the city of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated agreement takes effect from the time it is published, even if a different version appeared at the time of your registration. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms, so we recommend reviewing them periodically.
