Community Guidelines — JoinMyJam

Last updated: June 24, 2026

JoinMyJam is a meeting place for musicians of every level — a space to play together, share knowledge, and grow. These guidelines exist to preserve the creative, welcoming, and safe atmosphere in which our community thrives, and they apply to every shared space in the service: jam rooms, group chat and direct messages, comments, posts, and setlists. Your use of the service is also governed by our Terms of Use.

1. Our Core Community Values

Music brings people together, and so should the community gathered around it. We expect every member to treat others with respect, patience, and goodwill. Condescension, hostility, and musical elitism stand in direct opposition to the spirit of this place and have no home among us. Everyone — at every level of playing — deserves a stage that honours them.

2. Standards of Conduct and Interaction

In every space where conversation takes place — jam rooms, chat, direct messages, comments, and posts — the following standards of conduct apply and are enforced without exception:

3. Contributing Content and Community Etiquette

To keep our catalogue and shared spaces clean and of high quality, please observe the following practices:

4. Enforcement, Sanctions, and Appeals

The community is overseen by the JoinMyJam team, alongside jam-room owners and co-hosts who are empowered to enforce these guidelines within their own spaces. Depending on the gravity and frequency of a violation, we may take a range of measures — from a formal warning, through content removal and temporary muting, to the suspension or permanent ban of an account. The service provides reporting and blocking tools, and we encourage members to report violations.

Believe an enforcement action was taken in error? You may appeal through the official support channel at support@joinmyjam.com. Do not open public threads or post retaliatory content in response to enforcement decisions.
